Free Walking Tour – Victoria’s Historic Downtown

Victoria was a thriving west coast city in the 19th century when Vancouver and Seattle were mere towns, and it has an incredible wealth of surviving Victorian-era architecture.

Again this year, Dave Mason (Predator Ridge 60s) is offering a social event for interested Playmakers players and spouses on the Wednesday evening.  Dave conducts walking tours of Victoria’s historic downtown (check out his website at www.comeseevictoria.com).

The evening will begin at 7 pm with a one-hour walk of Victoria’s magnificent Inner Harbour. Iconic buildings like the Legislature and the Empress Hotel define the city and have a very storied past. The tour will end at the Irish Times Pub, which was voted best Irish pub in North America last year, for drinks and/or food at 8 pm.

Date/Time: Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 7:00 pm

Meet At: Visitor Centre, corner of Government & Wharf Streets (map here)

Cost: No charge for the walking tour. Folks pay their own food & drink at the pub.

Parking: On-street parking (numbered blue posts) and the city parkades are all free after 6 pm. The Bastion Square Parkade (off Yates Street) is a good choice.
