Tournament Dates:
- March 26th– 30th, 2024
Tournament Location:
- All games are played at G. R. Pearkes Arena, 3100 Tillicum Road, Victoria, B.C.
The Playmakers Tournament:
- is dedicated to players 55 and over with 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+, 75+ and 80+ age divisions for men.
- there is a women’s 55+ age division.
- is a participation tournament guaranteeing 3 games/team consisting of two 21-minute stop time periods.
- Playmakers runs Tuesday through Saturday. All teams should be prepared to play on any of these days but will do our best to accommodate any special scheduling requests. Please advise if your team has constraints or scheduling requests for our consideration when you complete and submit the Team Registration form.
- The total number of teams for our tournament has been set at 48.
To register:
- Teams MUST register on-line via our website: www.victoriaplaymakers.ca.
- The tournament registration fee is $1050.00 Canadian payable by e-transfer (preferred) or by cheque payable to Victoria Playmakers. Those choosing to pay by e-transfer can find the instructions on the Website on the Tournament Registration Page
- As registration is on a first-come basis it is recommended that you register and submit registration fees early to guarantee a position in the division of your choice.
- Refunds, minus a $200.00 processing fee, will be returned to teams that notify the Registrar no later than January 15, 2023 that they are unable to attend.
Team Rosters:
- Due to considerable interest, Playmakers are going back to the requirement of having Team Rosters identified in our Tournament Program.
- Rosters must be submitted alphabetically by last names and by the February 14, 2024 deadline so that the roster can be provided to the publisher.

Individual Players:
- Team Managers are reminded that Playmakers has a Spares Coordinator. His list of available spares usually covers all age divisions. If you are short of players and having difficulty filling your team roster, please submit the request form Do you need additional players for your team? This form is located under the For Team Managers Tab.
- Our Spares Coordinator will attempt to assign players to teams and assist team managers requiring extra players. Our Spares Coordinator will contact you if there is a possible Spare for you.
Knighting Certificate:
- Players being “Knighted” are to complete the online form on the Hall of Fame Application tab or email the information to Admin@victoriaplaymakers.ca no later than February 14th ,2024
- Questions concerning “Player Knighting” may be directed to Butch Boucher at 1-250-658-4279 or butchboucher@shaw.ca.
Local Accommodation & Transportation:
- Teams needing accommodation are requested to book directly with one of our Playmaker partner hotels shown on our website and ask for Victoria Playmakers Group Rate. In booking directly, the Playmaker Organizing Committee receives a small commission from each hotel that is directed to our charities of choice.
- Also, our website www.victoriaplaymakers.ca identifies airline partners offering discounts to registered Playmaker hockey teams.
Important dates to remember:
- December 15th, 2023: Submit your Team Registration form to the Tournament Registrar. A deposit is not required at this time however we encourage you to pay upon registration so as not to forget and loose your spot.
- January 15th, 2024: Final Registration and Playmaker payment ($1050) due date. Last date to withdraw and receive a refund if you paid the registration fee early.
- January 31st, 2024: Game schedule will be posted on website: www.victoriaplaymakers.ca
- February 14th, 2024: Team Roster submission deadline.
- February 14th, 2024: Hall of Fame “Knighting” application deadline.
